About me
Hello! My name is Emma Dain. I am 20 years old living in Halifax, N.S. Canada. I have traveled around the Maritimes taking pictures of people and their horses. As the child of a wildlife photographer and mom vet, I have a love for animals but especially horses.
As a child, I always enjoyed seeing and petting horses that my family and I would come across. At age 8, my mom got me my first riding lesson and I was hooked. For a few years I rode lesson horses and took basic lessons. I began leasing my first horse at age 12.
A dream came true when I was 14 and my parents bought me my first horse, August. August is my heart horse and she will be with me forever, she has taught me so much in the saddle but also on the ground! Together we do hunter jumper and natural horsemanship.
August has also been a great model for me and has been my practice dummy for many things, including new cameras, lenses, black backgrounds, and many more.
